Artworlds Creative Arts Center was incorporated in 1972 and closed in 1980, it was a non-profit (501c3) art center, a vision of Cecil Taylor, founder and director. Artworlds offered workshops year-round, including fine arts, crafts, Pottery, dance, photography,Modeling, physical arts and the performing arts. Artworlds is a new privately run multi media school located in down town Ann Arbor, Michigan. The school was founded by Cecil and Barbara Taylor in October of 1972.

Ann Arbor's 150th Birthday on Saturday, May 25th 1974. Ann Arbor will celebrate it's 150th anniversary. A massive birthday party is planned to involve the whole city. In the down town/main street area that day
"The Friends Roadshow" will bring their circus to town. Clowns ! Jugglers ! Acrobats ! the whole shabang ! for kids of all ages. The Roadshow's performance is being presented by Artworlds. The Roadshow is a company from Dundee Michigan. An international touring theatre company building a base in the Ann Arbor Michigan area.

The Ann Arbor Michigan commission members would like to give Credits for July 1974 participation and support of there Ann Arbor sesquicentennial 1824 to 1974.

Artworlds first juried photo show "Untitled 1977" offers $50.-$100. prizes. The jury is made up of professional photographers, Keary Cambell,
David Capps, Stanley Livingston and William Pelletier and Susan Le Van, a visual artist.

Learn to do your own thing at Artworls. Dave Rubello, who teaches acrylics water colors, and the art of field drawings at Artworlds, has exhibited works at the University of Michigan and the pyramid Gallery of Ann Arbor Michigan. Likewise, William Pelletier, Artworlds photo-director, presently displays his "macro-photography" offerings at different National Bank of Detroit branches. Fred Golden, a businessman in Ann Arbor Michigan and now an Artworls instructor, uses a process called "Serigraphis" in his screen printing work. Suheyla who teaches belly dancing at Artworlds. Actually born in the USA she has studied at the Martha Grahan studios of dance in New York.

Underwater Photography starts October 2nd. A course in underwater photography will be offered at Artworlds 213 1/2 Main Street Ann Arbor Michigan.
Gordon McBride will be teaching the course which will include instruction in the use of photo equipment; scuba equipment.

Franklyn Wepner is working with Artworlds, where he will be teaching a six week introduction to experimental theater starting wednesday.
