Arena pioneered cloud product lifecycle management PLM applications. The company’s suite of products, including BOMControl, Arena Exchange, Arena Demand, Arena API and Arena Projects, enable engineering and manufacturing teams of all sizes and their extended supply chains to speed up prototyping, reduce scrap, and streamline supply chain management.
Software
Arena Solutions offer products targeted at manufacturers and their supply chains: Arena BOMControl and Arena Exchange. These cloud-based/SaaS applications enable manufacturers to manage bill of materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), product data exchange (PDX), and other key manufacturing files securely and efficiently.
Arena products integrate with other manufacturing services such as MCAD, EDA, PDM and ERP to help product data flow from design to manufacturing.
Customers include DirecTV, Fitbit, GoPro, and other manufacturers of consumer electronics, clean technology, medical devices and high-tech products.
History
Arena Solutions was co-founded by Michael Topolovac and Eric Larkin in February 2000. The company was originally named bom.com, reflecting the Bill of Materials (BOM) as the central framework for organizing product data and the Internet (.com) as delivery model.
Topolovac and Larkin previously worked together at Light and Motion Industries, a manufacturer of underwater video, photo and lighting products founded by Topolovac in the 1990s. At LMI, they developed their own custom application to run the design and manufacturing aspects of their business, which became the prototype for Arena.
