Apokalupis

Apokalupis (2000-present) is an American political anti-authoritarian crust punk band based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA.

Biography

Origins
In late 2000, after the dissolution of Darko, three former members of that band, The Lurking Shadow, Jake Ghoul, and David Death formed Apokalupis along with Skull Smasher (also of Electile Dysfunction and Viking Cassette Records on Drums).

In 2007 David Death disbanded from the band for reasons yet unknown.

Apokalupis was known primarily for their political lyrics. After Electile Dysfunction and Darko both disbanded, Apokalupis lyrics covered subjects untouched by Electile Dysfunction or Darko.

Apokalupis debuted with a demo titled "demoLITION." They put it out themselves when they went on their first tour. Only 100 copies were made, and they were all sold/traded/given away.

Apokalupis then released "Destuction Of Capitals" on Blood Zombie Records in the US.

Lyrical themes

Apokalupis lyrics are known for their harsh political commentary. Common themes include anti-capitalism, anti-Christianity.

Apokalupis has been called Stanist for their Anti-Christianity, but all they have said is "Any relegion, including Satanism, is for the weak"
