Apex Telecom is an Australian Internet service provider.
Background
Originally founded in 1997 as Apex Internet, In 2011 the company changed its brand to Apex Telecom. Apex provides a range of separately metered services at no extra charge, some of these services being operated directly, examples including: ABC iView; Yahoo!7; Streaming of local radio station .
Apex Telecom has a focus primarily on DSL-based Internet access, but also provides business-class access, web hosting, co-location, Telepony including Voice over IP, and a variety of related services.
Apex Telecom is based in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). The company's services are available nationwide through many means including:
*ADSL (using DSLAM ports provided by Telstra Wholesale)
*ADSL2+ (using DSLAM ports provided by AAPT, Telstra, Optus and TPG Soul)
*TransACT (using the TransACT Cable, ADSL, Wireless and FTTH networks)
*Wireless hotspots in Canberra, ACT
*An ACT regional telecommunications backbone based on microwave/wireless and access layers using Fixed Wireless, ADSL2+ and VDSL2 technologies.
