Anwar Hussain Khan (b May 15, 1957) is a engineering geologist credited for more than 1000 geotechnical projects as recorded (Geological Society London CPD records). His work includes Geological study for the Kakrapar atomic power station in 1980 Atomic Power Station. In Saudi Arabia his major work includes geological studies for Saudi Aramco Saline Water Conversion Plant of eastern province Al Khobar Water supply and sanitation in Saudi Arabia and more recently the North South Railway project , in particular, Geological and construction materials sourcing study for Haramain High Speed Railway project Haramain High Speed Rail Project.
Anwar was also the first Asian geologist achieved the title of European Geologist (EurGeol) Register of European Geologist title holders in 1995 (reported in Limca Book of Records 2011- Article 136) Article about Anwar Khan
The title was awarded by the European Federation of Geologists (EFG) which was established in 1980 by representatives from Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. Throughout Europe the geologists are represented by the (EFG) and by mutual recognition of the academic and professional qualification the title EurGeol is awarded to allow free movement of geologists in Europe.
While a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers American Society of Civil Engineers Anwar was part of the Engineering Committee which published the Manuel for ‘Quality in Construction project’ in 2012
