Antonio Penn

Antonio Penn (born December 22, 1992) is a professional American football defensive back who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Iowa Wesleyan University.
College career
University of Virginia (Wise)
2011 Season
Penn started his college career at the in 2011. He redshirted as a true freshman when he was unable to break into an upperclassman secondary that featured an All-American atop his position.
2012 Season
In 2012, Penn made his redshirt freshman collegiate debut week one vs #11 ranked Bethel University, seeing only playing time on special teams in the Cavaliers’ 24-21 victory. Penn would miss the next three games due to a reoccurring rib injury suffered during training camp prior to the season. In week five, he started his first career game at free safety against Cumberland University on September 22. West Virginia University
After two seasons with UVA-Wise, Penn transferred to West Virginia University in the Fall of 2013 as a walk-on athlete. He was ineligible and didn’t not participate in the 2013 season, losing what would have been his redshirt sophomore season.
University of Calgary
Following his WVU transfer, Penn found himself transferring again, accepting a full scholarship in 2014 to play under Head Coach Blake Nill for the #2 ranked University of Calgary Dinos. He made his Canadian debut in a week one matchup against the Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas, where Penn recorded four tackles and one tackle for loss in the Dinos dominant 71-3 victory. Penn was sidelined for the remainder of his 2014 redshirt sophomore season due to a foot injury.
Iowa Wesleyan University
Following just a year playing for the #2 ranked Dinos, Penn found his way back to the states transferring yet again to continue his collegiate football career with the Iowa Wesleyan University Tigers in 2015. Penn started all 10 games of the 2015 season as a redshirt junior for the Tigers, recording a career high 41 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one interception (touchdown), one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three pass breakups. His breakout perfomamce earned him All-USCAA 1st Team Defense All-American honors for the 2015 season.
Following the 2015 season, Penn decided to forgo his redshirt senior season and enter the 2016 NFL Draft. Penn joined Iowa State University’s 2016 Draft Class for his NFL Pro Day.
Professional career
<big>Lehigh Valley Steelhawks</big>
Penn signed with the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks of the National Arena League (NAL) on September 14, 2016 for the 2017 NAL Season after going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Penn entered training camp with the Steelhawks and was released prior to the season opener on Friday, March 3.
<big>Texas Revolution</big>
Penn signed with the of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league heading into week 6 of the 2017 CIF season on April 20, 2017, following his release from the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks. Texas Revolution would go on to win the 2017 CIF Championship in a 59-49 victory over the Omaha Beef.
