Anthony Emerson

Anthony Emerson is a journalistic writer (born Dec. 1, 1994) on several blogs, such as Bleacher Report, Fan Huddle, and his own Blogspot blog, Surviving Manny. Emerson has also written several novels that have been privately published.
Education
Emerson will enter his freshman year at Deering High School in Portland, Maine on September 3, 2009. He previously attended Riverton Elementary School, also in Portland, from 2000 to 2006, where in 3rd grade his love of writing blossomed. He continued to write while he was in Lincoln Middle School, also in Portland, which he attended from 2006 to 2009. He will start attending Deering on Sep. 3, 2009, which he will attend until June 2013.
Career
Bleacher Report
Emerson's career in professional writing began on June 4, 2009 when he joined the community sportswriting Website Bleacher Report. on B/R, Emerson wrote several opinion and breaking news pieces on Boston Bruins, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Celtics, Washington Nationals, Atlanta Braves, Manchester United, New England Revolution, Los Angeles Galaxy, and Team USA soccer.
Bleacher Report uses writer rankings, which is virtually the percentage of articles you write an a certain subject. Emerson is ranked 4th in Washington Nationals, ranked 5th in Boston Bruins, ranked 6th in LA Galaxy, ranked 7th in Boston Red Sox and Atlanta Braves, ranked 8th in MLS, ranked 10th in Pittsburgh Pirates, ranked 17th in Seattle Mariners, and ranked 28th in Manchester United (all rankings current as of July 15, 2009).
Fan Huddle
He was offered a position at the new website Fan Huddle in June of 2009, and formaly accepted the deal on July 14, 2009.
Survivng Manny
Emerson started writing his own blog on July 11, 2009. The full title of Emerson's blog is "Surviving Manny (Acta and Ramirez)". The name is a reference to Manny Acta, who is a former manager of the Washington Nationals and led them to a league worst 102 losses in 2008, and Manny Ramirez, the disgruntled former Boston Red Sox leftfielder who famously did not hustle for Boston until he was traded from the Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers on July 31, 2008.
Private Novels
Emerson has written several novels, under the name "A.E. Matthews". None of Emerson's novels have been publicly released. Some of them are entitled Portland Royalty, Survival, and Battle Lines.
