Antagonist Perpetrated Aggression

Antagonist Perpetrated Aggression (APA) Training System is a proven special force response system founded by Chief Tactical Instructor Chris Mar under direct authorization of the Interior Ministry as initiated by the National Security Bureau as the original Taiwan SWAT Tactical CQC system, which effectively unifies the tactical infrastructure through a national ministry level administration and proliferation process. Chief Instructor Chris Mar is the grandson of the late Gen Yang Sen, who was the warlord and Governor of Sichuan, Governor of Guizhou, Mayor of Chungking.
In May 1988 the well-known journalist and reporter Keith Strandberg writing for the US publication SWAT Magazine visited Taiwan to interview and see first hand APA Tactical Instructors in action. His article published in May 1988 describes the APA Tactical Training for Combined Operations and Chief Instructor Chris Mar background as the Chief Instructor ROC SWAT. Chief Instructor Chris Mar served as Chief Instructor of Close Quarters Combat of PRC PLA Armed Police Instructors and Special Police Group Antiterror Teams at the Beijing Tactical Training Base where he taught for three years from 1995.
The emphasis of the systemization is the implementation of Combined Operations Rescue and Extraction and Rapid Reaction Deployment anti-terrorist technologies. This Tactical Combat Training involves 1) Specialized Combat Marksmanship under conditions of physical and psychological stress, Team Assault formations for search, traversing, clearing, dynamic entry, and ambush 3) Close-Quarters Combat for rescue, extraction, arrest, tactical riot, multiple adjunctive angles, alternative weapons, simultaneous counter-attack and high risk protection. The process of tactical unification is developed through total skill integration and field protocol using four essential elements for analysis and training. These are:
