Ann Bolling Randolph (1747-1805) was the wife of William Fitzhugh. She was born in 1747 to Peter Randolph and his wife, Lucy Bolling. Today, she is more frequently remembered as a descendant of Pocahontas and as one of the last hosts of George Washington's private attendances. She was the mother of Mary Lee Fitzhugh Custis, wife of George Washington Parke Custis, the builder of Arlington House the grounds of which later became Arlington National Cemetery. Randolph was also the grandmother of Mary Anna Custis, who married Confederate general Robert E. Lee. Her grandfather was William Randolph II and her brother was Beverley Randolph, the eighth Governor of Virginia. Ancestry
