Ceziah Strickland

Ceziah was the daughter of Walter Strickland esquire of Boynton and Frances Wentworth (Walter was the son of and Elizabeth Strickland; (Frances was the daughter of Peter Wentworth and Elizabeth Walsingham). She was also the sister of Walter Strickland, Sir William Strickland, 1st Baronet, Ann Strickland, Milcha Strickland, Frances Strickland, Ursula Strickland and Thomas Strickland.
Through her mother, Ceziah was the 10th Great Granddaughter of Edward I of England, through
Edward and Eleanor of Castile's daughter Elizabeth, Countess of Hereford's
daughter Lady Eleanor de Bohun. She was also the 9th Great Granddaughter of Edward I through another of
Elizabeth, Countess of Hereford's daughter's, Agnes, wife of Robert de Ferrers, 2nd Baron Ferrers of Chartley.
Ceziah married Robert Crompton , a two times widow, father of 4; becoming his third wife.
Robert's first wife was Jane Culverwell, by which he fathered a daughter, Mary. His second wife,
Ann Halderly was the mother of Thomas, John and Ann.
Ceziah and Robert were the parents of:
Robert Crompton of Driffield: Clerk in Alienation Office in London, Walter Crompton, Anne Crompton, Mary Crompton, and Ceziah Crompton.
The date of Ceziah's birth is not known, however her parents Walter Strickland and Frances Wentworth married around 1580, her brother Sir William Strickland, 1st Baronett was born in 1596, and their brother Walter Strickland was born in 1603, so Ceziah would have been born sometime early 1600, as she had her son Walter in 1633.
From what we know, Ceziah was a member of many renowned people's families, she was the daughter-in-law of , the man who sailed to the America's from England, and introduced the Turkey to his people. She was the Great Great Grand-niece of Francis Walsingham; a descendant of the Stricklands of Sizergh; the 3rd cousin once removed of Jane Seymour as Jane's Grandfather Sir Philip Wentworth II was the brother of Ceziah's Great Great Grandfather Sir Henry Wentworth; the 2nd cousin 3x removed of Catherine Parr as Catherine's Grandfather William Parr, 1st Baron Parr of Kendal, was the brother of Agnes Parr, Ceziah's 3x Great Grandmother; the 6th cousin twice removed of Anne Boleyn as Anne's 4x Great Grandmother Elizabeth Isabelle Loring, was the sister of Margaret Loring, Ceziah's 4x Great Grandmother. Her ancestry runs deep with history, Kings and Queens of Great Britain only a few generations back.
