Angela Russell (born March 14, 1975) is an American television journalist, who has anchored evening news in the Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Seattle, Washington markets. Russell currently co-anchors the evening news broadcasts with Steve Raible at KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle. Early life Angela Poe attended Pensacola High School and graduated the University of Florida, where she worked at nearby WTMG-FM, anchoring a late night news program. After graduation Poe relocated to Mobile, Alabama to begin her reporting career for WKRG-TV. In Mobile, Poe married medical student Terry Russell. Journalism career After time anchoring and reporting for WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C., in addition to her anchor duties she also served as a reporter for the 6 p.m and 11 p.m newscasts. During her time at CBS 3, it was announced she and her husband were expecting a child; the notice mentioned in passing the names of five other female anchors which had lost prime anchor jobs at CBS 3 after returning from maternity leave. Since joining KIRO's news team, Russell has interviewed Lenny Wilkens, James Donaldson and Mike Davis.
