Angela Russell

Angela Russell (born March 14, 1975) is an American television journalist, who has anchored evening news in the Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Seattle, Washington markets. Russell currently co-anchors the evening news broadcasts with Steve Raible at KIRO-TV, the CBS affiliate in Seattle.
Early life
Angela Poe attended Pensacola High School and graduated the University of Florida, where she worked at nearby WTMG-FM, anchoring a late night news program. After graduation Poe relocated to Mobile, Alabama to begin her reporting career for WKRG-TV. In Mobile, Poe married medical student Terry Russell.
Journalism career
After time anchoring and reporting for WJLA-TV in Washington, D.C., in addition to her anchor duties she also served as a reporter for the 6 p.m and 11 p.m newscasts. During her time at CBS 3, it was announced she and her husband were expecting a child; the notice mentioned in passing the names of five other female anchors which had lost prime anchor jobs at CBS 3 after returning from maternity leave. Since joining KIRO's news team, Russell has interviewed Lenny Wilkens, James Donaldson and Mike Davis.
