Angel McCord

Angel McCord (also Angie McCord) (born May 19,1985, Tucker, Georgia) is an American actress best known for her role in the 2014 independent film Salvation for which she was nominated for the Best Actress award at the 2013 Madrid International Film Festival.
Career
McCord made her film debut in the 2011 film The Sacred. This was followed by a role in the 2012 low-budget film No Tell Motel, and finally her leading role in Salvation.
Social activism
McCord promotes several humanitarian causes, and is noted for her work with the Somaly Mam Foundation, for whom she currently serves as Goodwill Ambassador. She also works to rebuild the homes of those affected by Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans with the St. Bernard Project and with the Thirst Project building fresh water wells in Africa and raising awareness for the cause.
