ANDRZEJ TYSZKO
His first artistic endeavor was associated with the activity of the Creativ Group which he co-founded. The fruit of the labors of this four-person group took the form of five socrealistic exibitions reflecting the socialistic reality shrouding them. In their work they protested against the soulless grayness of life in which they were forced to mature.
The second area of their interest were nude portraits. On one hand they were fascinated by open and unostentatious nudity while on the other hand they were searching for their own interpretation of this century-old topic. They put together four interesting exhibitions of nude portraits. A total of 9 exhibitions which were displayed in more than 30 cities in Poland were created over the period from 1974 to 1980.
Andrzej Tyszko commenced his professional activites at the beginning of the 1980s as he was drawn into the world of show business. Up until 1987 he created more than 180 album covers and posters for the most outstanding Polish stage musicians. Jazz was his great passion. This bore fruit in the form of exceptionally beautiful and profound portraits of outstanding Polish and Norwegian musicians.
From 1987 to 1990 he made portraits of the most famous Norwegian jazzmen at the request of the Norwegian Jazz Association.
After returning to Poland in 1990 he founded his own advertising photography studio - Tyszko Fotografia and he immediately became one of the most popular commercial photographers in Poland.
The primary topic of his photography in art. and advertising are PEOPLE.
In parallel to his commercial photographic activities Andrzej Tyszko has been incessantly engaged in his own artwok - the portrait and nudes
His portraits show the Man in a very noble way while also doing so with courage and modernity. His recipe for a good portrait is to find himself in person he is photographing.
