Thomas was born in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from in the United Kingdom.
Cricket
In addition to soccer, Thomas played cricket for the Middlesex County Cricket Club academy from age 10.
Youth career
Thomas joined the youth academy of Watford F.C. at age 9. In 2016, he helped Watford's U18 team to a Professional Development League South Championship, keeping 9 consecutive clean sheets during one part of the season.
In 2019, Thomas played 21 games for Stanford, allowing 16 goals. He was named to the All-Pac-12 first team for the second consecutive season.
Professional career
Wealdstone (loan)
During his time at Watford, Thomas joined National League South side Wealdstone F.C. on a short term loan. Thomas played one match for the club, conceding one goal.
International career
Thomas was named to the 24-man United States men's national under-23 soccer team roster for their friendly vs. Japan in September 2019. However, he was an unused sub in the game.
