Andrew Tani

Andrew EB Tani (born August 22, 1955) is a Turkish - Filipino business coach, entrepreneur, author, speaker and columnist.

Biography

Andrew Tani was born to a Turkish father and Filipino mother. Tani started working as property analyst at Ayala Corporation in 1976. In 1978, Tani started his own consulting company in Philippines. In 1981, Tani met an Indonesian entrepreneur named Heru Iskandar, the owner of Hexpharm Jaya and Merapi Utama Pharma, which is now has been acquired by Kalbe Farma. Since then, Tani officially started his career in Indonesia on January 1984 as Organization Development Consultant at Merapi Utama Pharma.

In 1987, Tani launched his first Indonesia based business consulting company named Optimal Technology Center. In 1997, they officially used AndrewTani & Co. as the new brand. Tani widely known as a business coach and corporate culture expert. Tani also known for inventing a business management solution formula named ORBEX (Organizing for Business Excellence).

Tani's clients varies from private company to government institution. Big Indonesian private companies (mining, telecommunication, consumer goods, infrastructure, media, educational) such as Adaro, Indocement, Indosat, ISM - Bogasari Flour Mills, The Johns Hopkins University, Media Indonesia, Shanghiang Perkasa and XL Axiata are some of Tani's clients. Bank Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia, BPMIGAS, Departemen Pendidikan Nasional, Pertamina are some of the Indonesian government institution he has work with.

Tani often invited as the speaker for many seminars especially in corporate strategy or management issue. He also write articles for Forbes Indonesia and published series of books. The most recent publication was Get Real: Empower the Manager Leader Within which was published by McGraw-Hill in 2001.

Personal Life

Tani got his Industrial Management Engineering Bachelor Degree from De La Salle University, Philippines with full 5-years scholarship. Tani has a great passion in music, especially country, blues and jazz. He learnt playing guitar since 12 years old, joined a band when he’s only 14 years old and still composing songs and jamming with his bandmates until now. Tani also loves to ride big bike in his spare time.
