An Egg Scramble

Introduction
An Egg Scramble is a 1950 cartoon in the Merrie Melodies series that was directed by Robert McKimson and it was released to theaters on May 27, 1950. It stars Porky Pig and Prissy; and the cartoon deals with Prissy getting chased by Porky as she tries to protect an egg she thinks she laid.
Plot
The cartoon opens with Porky doing the daily business of running his egg- producing farm and checking each of the hens in. It then goes to Prissy who punches in late to the timeclock and is caught by by Porky, who then warns her if she fails to lay an egg during the day, she ill be put amongst the chickens that are used to make actual chickens as food. The other hens feel sorry for Prissy and decide to fool her into believing she laid an egg. When Prissy discovers she has laid an egg, she is forced to give it up by Porky. It is eventuallly shipped in a truck and Prissy chases after it, eventually breaking several eggs in a shop to find it. She is chased out and accidentally flees into a gangster's hideout and the police arrive shortly after to arrest the criminal. It then cuts to Porky asking at a police station if Prissy is anywhere in the town, and he eventually says they are busy with the gangster that Prissy ended up with. The police start using various tactics to force the gangster from his hideout, and Prissy foolishly believes he is protecting her egg. The police eventually throw tear gas into the building and drive the gangster out and Prissy along with him. Porky proceeds to take Prissy home and he eventually gets the egg from Prissy by threatening her. The egg then proceeds to hatch shortly after Prissy leaves, revaeling a miniature version of her inside. Porky looks at the newly hatched chick in surprise as the cartoon irises out.
