American Movie Awards

The American Movie Awards honor excellence in film and screenwriting. The first two ceremonies occurred in 1980 & 1982, with winners including Meryl Streep, Warren Beatty, Clint Eastwood, and Steven Spielberg. The event relaunched in 2013 with a focus on independent film. The more recent winners include American actresses Lea Thompson and Tracy Middendorf.
