Ambalathinal Devi Temple is an ancient temple situated in Edakunnam, a small village near Nooranad, Alappuzha District, Kerala, India. KUMBHA BHARANI is the major festival. BHARANI in the KHUMBAM month is the birth star of Ambalathinal Devi. Old name of Ambalathianl devi Temple was 'Yakshiammakavu'. In olden days people were afraid because of this Yakshi. She attacks people even children. People are afraid and they make a decision to Welcome BHADRAKALI DEVI, who is worshiped by a sain in old illam (old brahmin's house).
