Amar Amarni (b. June 12, 1973 in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria) is an Algerian painter who lives and works in Marseille, France. From 1988 to 1992, Amarni studied at the Beaux-Arts School of Algiers. From 2003 to 2006 he studied at the Beaux-Arts School of Marseille, graduating in 2006. Amarni has been the leader of a Tunisian art group, The Kabylian Wizards, since 1998. Since 1997, he has been a member of the ONDA, an Algerian organization for artists' rights. He is also a member of the Algerian national cultural art commune (UNAC).
