Amar Amarni

Amar Amarni (b. June 12, 1973 in Tizi Ouzou, Algeria) is an Algerian painter who lives and works in Marseille, France.
From 1988 to 1992, Amarni studied at the Beaux-Arts School of Algiers. From 2003 to 2006 he studied at the Beaux-Arts School of Marseille, graduating in 2006.

Amarni has been the leader of a Tunisian art group, The Kabylian Wizards, since 1998. Since 1997, he has been a member of the ONDA, an Algerian organization for artists' rights. He is also a member of the Algerian national cultural art commune (UNAC).
