Allergo were a four piece alternative hardcore metal band formed in late-2001 in Perth, Scotland. The band consisted of childhood friends Tom Mitchell (Guitar). Graham Motion (Drums), Matt Evans (Vocals), James Fleming (Bass). Gary Thom later joined the band to replace James Fleming in early 2006. The band played hundreds of gigs in their 5-year existence, including two appearances at Scotland's biggest music festival T in the Park.
Biography Allergo were an Alternative hardcore metal band from Perth, formed in late 2001. The band's sound was often described as being Technical and Crushing. They were often compared to such bands as Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Cult of Luna.
After a large number of small gigs in their local area of Perth, Allergo managed to branch out from the smaller local venues as they developed their sound. In 2004 and 2005, the band competed through the T in the Park: T-Break competition to earn a slot on the T-break stage at the festival two-years in a row.
Described by Radio 1’s Gill Mills as “Mick Jagger fronting Machinehead” and by Radio 1’s Vic Galloway as giving “a mind-blowing performance”.
Their music has been played on numerous radio stations including, Beat 106, Radio 1 (where they reached number 6 on the rock/punk unsigned demos). Their songs also featured on two T-Break cds, which is on sale all over the UK. They were also interviewed live on BBC Three for their T in the Park coverage in 2004.
In 2005 the band home-recorded their most successful demo "Summer '05", gaining excellent reviews from many music publications and websites including most notably Terrorizer. The band's progress and future was looking hopeful.
Unfortunately the band came to a tragic end in 2006 when drummer Graham Motion drowned in the River Tay in Perth.

Tragically on the 23rd of July 2006, drummer Graham Motion drowned after falling from the Queens Bridge in Perth. Dundee Courier Article -
The band felt they could not continue without Graham who had formed the band when they were all still at school. In the short time they were together they had made quite an impression on the music scene with positive Reviews for both their demo CDs and their live performances. Always putting the music and fun first. They had a strong DIY ethic, recording/producing/marketing their much praised demos themselves in Toms living room on a digital 8 tracks.
