Alim Airlines was an Egyptian airline and used to operate also as United Alim Airlines. Homebases were Cairo and Hurghada. Years of operation were 1993-1997. A charter airline based in Cairo, Egypt. It operated charter flights from Egypt's tourist destinations to Europe, regular charters to the Middle East as well as domestic flights. It was owned and founded by Dr. Ali Abd El Moneim, a well-known Egyptian businessman. Code data ICAO code: LEM History They ordered three ex-Uzbekistan Ilyushin Il-62s but only one, SU-ZDA, was delivered for sure. SU-ZDB and SU-ZDC are/were stored at Tashkent. Fleet As of August 2006 a single Ilyushin Il-62M aircraft remains registered to Alim Airlines. |
