Alikadom Cave, locally known as Ali Cave is located in Alikadom upazila, Bandarban. Bandarban is a district in South-Eastern of Bangladesh, and a part of the Chittagong Division and Chittagong Hill Tracts. The name Alikadom Cave is originated from the name of the upazila Alikadom. Alikadom upazila with an area of 887.78 sq km is approximately 350 kilometers away from Dhaka and it takes nearly one hour of trekking distance from Alikadom Bazar to reach the cave crossing the magnificent Matamuhuri river.
There are three caves and they are known as first, second, and third Ali Cave consequently. However, the second cave, a home of thousands of bats, is the most attractive of them. This second cave is about 20-30 feet from the ground hence one needs to climb up to get in. It is the largest of them & has many(more than three)tunnels/sub tunnels as well.
