Alexis Urbina

Alexis Urbina (died September 6, 2013) was an American boxer, who was a 2013 USA Boxing Youth National Champion winner. He was expected to be a hopeful to compete in the 2016 Summer Olympics. On the 6th of September, Urbina was found savagely beaten in his Arizona home and was rushed to hospital, he was brain dead and put on life support. He died shortly after arrival at the hospital, as his brain had swollen. Urbina was attacked in the early afternoon, and found covered in blood by his mother. Boxing memorabilia was also seized and stolen from his home. He is survived by his sister, Sulem Urbina, who was fighting for the Mexico Boxing Youth National title, and his parents.
