In February 2009, he was featured in a NYT article regarding his nightlife hosting duties around town. His infamous Black Sunday party is rumored to have been created as a modern Hellfire club and is known for its cult following, weekly staged homicide, celebrity attendance and videos. Alexis developed the series of short films by editing roughly 3,000 photos into a weekly stop motion video. The videos received more attention than ever before when in May 2009 Facebook censored Mincolla by removing the Black Sunday videos from his personal page. All videos were returned after the community rallied behind Mincolla.
Mincolla has become known for incorporating elements of Western esotericism into his creations and business practice, which can be seen in his December 2009 Look Book appearance with New York Magazine. His penchant for the theatrical tends to leave people questioning where the performance starts and stops.
Recently, Mincolla has been working on various film projects including a role in Matthew Santoro's upcoming sci-fi movie Offline.
