Alexei Gaina (born 10 August 1954 in , Moldova) is a Moldavian astrophysicist, translator and programmer. Graduated from the physics department of the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1977. Doctor of physics and mathematics (1981). Member of the European Mathematical Society, International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation, Eurasian Astronomical Society. Reviewer at the Astrophysics Data System and Zentralblatt fur Mathematik. He is a translator of more than 20 publications form/into Russian, Romanian, English and French, especially agricultural.
He is the author of more than 140 papers in the subject, according to the Astronomical Data System
