Alexandra Haslam Russell

Alexandra Haslam Russell (born September 21, 1963 Bakersfield) is an American editor.
Life
She graduated from St. Vincent de Paul High School in Petaluma, CA, where she was a noted athlete and won academic accolades.
After graduating from San Francisco State University in 1988, she was an intern and contributing writer at BAM (Bay Area Music) magazine.
She progressed to become BAM's managing editor.
From there, she moved to the radio industry's trade magazine, Gavin, where she also served as managing editor. She took a seven-year sabbatical from magazine editing, to marry Grergory Russell and have three children: Willam Oliver (b. 2001), Zachary Lyle (b. 2003), Lita Inez (b. 2005).
She returned to work in 2008, and is now managing editor of North Bay Biz.
Family
Her parents are author Gerald and teacher Janice Haslam. She is the sister of computer-game innovator Fred Haslam.
Awards
With her father and Richard Chon, she was in 2000 a winner of the Ralph J. Gleason Award from Rolling Stone, New York University, and BMI for Workin' Man Blues: Country Music in California.
