Alexandra Bachelier

Alexandra Doria Bachelier, born November 10, 1981 in Miami, Florida, is a Cuban/French Performer, best known for her rise to fame as one of the Top 30 contestants on the first season of the reality television program American Idol
in 2002.

Biography

Alexandra Bachelier began performing at the early age of 3, with training in Classical Ballet, Flamenco, Jazz, and Modern Dance. She began modeling and acting at the age of 8 and although she always loved music it wasn't until middle school where Alexandra discovered she had a talent as well as a passion & drive for Music and Singing. Bachelier began singing in school talent shows and was always among the favorites. She began with various music productions and girl groups, but was never able to find a situation that fit her well. Alexandra is now working with Mach 1 Music's President & CEO, Eddie Galan, as a singer and a songwriter.

Career

WB Popstars I & II
At the age of 18 Alexandra found the opportunity to audition for the first season of WB's Popstars. Alex found herself as a finalist, in the Top 25. She made it to the finals but was never chosen for the group. After auditioning for the second season of Pop Stars, and again becoming a finalist from her home state of Florida, she continued to gain experience and exposure.

American Idol
In 2002 Alexandra was chosen to complete the Original cast of 30 finalists on the first Season of American Idol. Beating out thousands of talented singers, Alexandra was one of the many hopefuls given the infamous “Golden Ticket” to Hollywood. In Hollywood her talent led her way to the Top 30 round. She held her own in the 2nd SemiFinal Group which included the future American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson and runner-up Justin Guarini. She performed the Vanessa Williams Song- Save The Best For Last.

After AI

After American Idol, Alexandra moved to Los Angeles where she worked on various commercials and some independent films, as well as hosting "Ruta Musical" A TV show that aired on TV AZTECA in Las Vegas.

Alexandra went on to sign a publishing deal with Backstreet Boy, Nick Carter (whom she was romantically linked to back in 2002) and his Publishing company KAOTIC RECORDS. She wrote and Co produced several songs with Nick and his company however in 2006 both Nick and Alex came to a mutual agreement to not continue working together for personal reasons.

With Eddie Galan's Mach 1 Music team, Alexandra has had several of the songs she's co-written placed with major label artists, for upcoming releases. Alexandra has placed songs that have been featured on several TV Series', including "Hustler" on Episode: 611 of the notable Canadian TV Series Degrassi.
