Alexander Schukoff

Alexander Schukoff (* August 23, 1956) is an Austrian film director and video artist.
Biography
Schukoff studied directing and screenwriting at Vienna Filmacademy, graduating in 1980. He then worked as a director for various TV stations, including the Austrian Broadcasting Company (ORF), 3sat, BR-alpha and Fashion TV. In 1986 he founded Schukoff-Film, a film production company, and has since then produced and directed documentaries, music videos, and short movies for TV channels, public institutions and industry. His works have included a live video performance 2003 at the Museum of Applied Arts in Vienna, commemorating the 30th anniversary of Ingeborg Bachmann's death, titled "Ich weiss keine bessere Welt".
From then he also works as a video artist and creates video installations for museums or public space.
This represents the beginning of the second professional base besides movie directing: as a video artist he creates video-installations
inpublic base the documentary-film "Russland in Wien" and "Kaffee Express".</br>
2009 he is introducing his "Digital Arts and Moods" project to the public: A collection of high definition content, from natural impressions to short art-movies, distributed by partner Deuromedia for interactive usage world wide, luxury hotels in Macao and Germany enabling first platforms for audiences.
Personal Live
Since 2007 Alexander Schukoff (grandson of Russian immigrant; refugee from the revolution) is married with the Russian tv-journalist and writer Nadeschda Tschistjakowa (Famous Couples); they met producing a documentary-film for TV. End of 2007 their child Uljana was born.
Schukoff and his family are living in the historical quarter of Vienna.
