Alex Burger (music)

Alex Burger (born October 24, 1990) is a Quebecois singer-songwriter. He launched his first EP, À m’ment donné, in 2018, followed by Sweet Montérégie in 2021.
Career
Burger comes from a family where country music was omnipresent. Through his grandfather, he was exposed to Willie Lamothe.
Burger was part of the Câltar-Bateau group with eight other musicians. This group launched two albums: Verbal boisson # 7 in 2014 and La bavure des possessions in 2015. This latest work allows them to make their way to the finals of the Francouvertes in 2016. In 2017, the group decided to take a break. At the same time, Burger participates in the Bon Enfant project, as a bassist, with Daphné Brissette (Canailles), Étienne Côté (Canailles), Mélissa Fortin (Canailles) and Guillaume Chiasson (Ponctuation). He is also bassist for Mon Doux Saigneur with Emerik St-Cyr. It was then that he launched his solo career.
In 2020 Burger participated in La Voix, the Quebec adaptation of The Voice. His last performance of "Doris" from Stephen Faulkner pitted him against Flora Stein, who later became a finalist on the show. For Burger, participation in La Voix improved his visibility with the Quebec public.
Sweet Montérégie was Burger's first album. La Presse described it as a "surprize" giving it a rating of 4 out of 5 stars and noting the background work done by Burger on supporting texts, the composition and arrangement.
