Alastair McKee

Alastair William McKee (born 9 March 1972 in Paddington, London) is a British television journalist and film-maker, best known for presenting the BBC current affairs programme Inside Out. He has produced and directed a number of current affairs and history documentaries for the BBC.
Alastair trained as a journalist at ITN, where he joined the production team for Channel 4 News. He worked on the programme during its coverage of the 2001 9/11 terrorist attacks, the 2003 Iraq War and the 2004 Madrid Bombings, for which it won two International Emmy awards. He was also a regular arts/culture reporter for the programme.
In 2011 Alastair was involved in a public row over the broadcast of an interview with Peter Greenhalgh, a Conservative councillor with Swindon Borough Councli, during which the councillor lost his temper.
He is an active supporter of the annual Bristol Young Heroes Awards and presented its gala ceremony in 2015 and 2016.
He lives in Bristol, UK with his wife and two children.
