Ian Chaloner

Ian Chaloner is the youngest presenter on BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

Career

Ian joined BBC Radio Gloucestershire as a broadcast assistant in August 2006 after graduating from the University of Nottingham.
Since then he has quickly ascended the schedule and can regularly be heard presenting various programmes on the station. Ian was involved in the launch of the networked Daybreak programme across BBC Radio Wiltshire, Swindon and Gloucestershire.

Ian became the youngest ever presenter to work on BBC Radio Gloucestershire after reading the travel news on BBC Radio Nottingham. He has also worked at the 'V Festival' with Virgin Radio and continues to be involved at his old university radio station - URN.

He recently presented the Early Breakfast show on BBC Radio One. He co-presented with university pal Chris Sawyer having won the chance to present the national station's early breakfast show when they were both working at the University of Nottingham's student radio station URN, named Station of the Year at the 2006 Student Radio Awards.
