Khalid Aziz

Khalid Aziz LVO DL FRSA, born 9 August 1953, is an entrepreneur and founder of Aziz Corporate, Author, Journalist, Professor and is probably most renowned for his early contributions to media and television.
Career
Early career
His media career spanned the BBC, Television South and Channel 4 with current affairs and business programmes. As a producer and presenter he has worked with The Open University, BT and PWC. He has received a number of awards for his communication skills including, The Royal Television Society 's Best Regional Magazine Programme; TV industrial Journalist of the Year sponsored by The Industrial Society (formerly The Work Foundation and BP, and a Silver Medal for his production of BT's AGM awarded at The New York Film and TV Festival.
His first career was in broadcasting spending 12 years with the BBC working on a range of News and Current Affairs programmes including Panorama, The Today Programme and BBC News. At 21 he became the youngest producer in the BBC and at 24 the youngest presenter of a regional News and Current Affairs programme, presenting BBC Look North from Leeds.
In 1982 he joined the newly formed ITV franchise for the South of England as its Senior News and Current Affairs presenter presenting the station’s flagship Coast to Coast programme. At Television South (TVS) he produced and presented Enterprise South which became ITV’s (formerly Television South) longest running business programme. He was TV Industrial Journalist of the Year in 1987.
Charities and Voluntary Positions
Khalid Aziz has held significant voluntary positions, including Media Adviser to The Prince’s Trust. He subsequently founded and chaired the Hampshire Committee of and the Southern Counties Board of The Prince’s Youth Business Trust. He has also served as Trustee on a number of charitable bodies: He was a founding Chairman and remains life President of the Wessex Children’s Hospice Trust, from 1992 to 2013, which built Naomi House Children's Hospice and Jacksplace in Sutton Scotney near Winchester. Today he Chairs The Enham Trust, a national charity which looks after the interests of 7,500 adults with disabilities.
In 1997 he was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order by HM The Queen and shortly afterwards a Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire.
