Alaska Airlines Flight 528

Alaska Airlines Flight 528 is a commercial airliner flight operated by Alaska Airlines between Sea-Tac Airport and Burbank, California. On December 25, 2008 fumes from a de-icing system entered the aircraft's cockpit, making the occupents unwell. Many reported irritated eyes and vomiting, and after thirty minutes the aircraft was evacuated. All six crew and an off-duty flight attendant with the airline were treated for about an hour is hospital per company policies, but all the passengers opted to board a replacement flight in spite of the incident, as it was Christmas and they wished to complete their journey. Eighteen were treated on the scene, with some hiding the seriousness of thier condition to allow them to fly. Alaska Airlines and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
