Al Sharqiya Aviation (ASA) was the only commercial helicopter operator based in Muscat, Oman. The airline was founded in 2016 and commenced operations in 2020. Al Sharqiya Aviation operated two Airbus H145 D3s, two Airbus H145s, three Eurocopter AS350 Écureuils , and one Embraer Legacy 650. History Al Sharqiya Aviation was founded in 2016, The genesis of Al Sharqiya Aviation was the established of a team in 2017, to start the Process of creating a viable operation; the brainchild of Omani billionaire Mohammed Al Barwani, whose holdings began as a small family-owned business that grown to include interests in shipbuilding, oil and gas, mining, tourism, aviation and philanthropy.
