Al Saheel Show

Al Saheel Show: The voice of the Horse, is the first Middle East based production involving horses and riders where the entire show was choreographed, and produced in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates. The show features over 30 horses, from Arabians, Andalusians and other breeds of horse as the musical production narrates the impact of the Arabian horse on other breeds around the world.
The producer and creator of the show is Eileen Verdieck, well known in the Arabian Show horse world and the Executive Producer is Martin Speight who has a long history in the show world.
A unique element of the show is that some of the horses used in the show have been either rescued or rehabilitated after they were found not to meet the standards of performance equine sports. In most of the Arab world, especially the United Arab Emirates horses are not euthanized because of age or being surplus and this creates unique problems for equine experts to find new jobs for these horses. It is currently estimated that the total population of horses in the United Arab Emirates is over 13,000 head and during the winter season increases with the horse racing season by as much as 700 horses.
The significance of this show is that it sets a good example for rehabilitating horses that currently do not have jobs and also highlights the talent within the region.
