Al Brooks MD, born in 1952, is a professional futures, stock, and options day trader living in Northern California and author of Reading Price Charts Bar By Bar: The Technical Analysis of Price Action for the Serious Trader. He has been trading for 25 years and in recent years has written numerous articles about price action trading and has been a keynote speaker in several webinars hosted by Futures Magazine. Many groups of traders have organized online chat rooms that discuss his approach to trading while they trade.
Prior to trading, Brooks obtained his MD degree from the University of Chicago under the name Albert Leveille, which he changed to Albert Brooks in 1984 to be easier for his elderly patients. He practiced ophthalmology in Los Angeles.
