Bill Blum

Bill Blum (born 1950) is the author of three legal thrillers: Prejudicial Error, The Last Appeal and The Face of Justice, published by Penguin/Putnam. His non-fiction writing has appeared in numerous publications, ranging from The Nation to The Los Angeles Times. His work has reviewed in such publications as The Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, The Seattle Times, Entertainment Weekly and Ellery Queen magazine.

A contributing writer for California Lawyer Magazine, his recent features include:

Blum is also a member of the California State Bar. As an attorney, he has numerous published appellate decisions to his credit, including Kolender v. Lawson, 461 US 352 (1983), before the United States Supreme Court, and People v. Davenport, 41 C3d 247 (1985) and People v. Boyd, 38 C3d 762 (1985), both landmark death penalty decisions of the California Supreme Court.
