AIRLINE Online

AIRLINE Online (airlineonline)
AIRLINE Online is a web based application used in teaching aviation management in years 10 - 12 and University level. It is also used in corporate training both in aviation and general business environments.
History
The AIRLINE application had existed for 9 years (first release in 1998) as a PC based single user simulation. The founder of the software, Frank Zimmermann, took the decision in 2003 to migrate the software to the internet and hence AIRLINE Online was founded.
A true multi user business simulation was born and was marketed to universities globally as a teaching tool for Business and Economics courses.
Academic Implementation
AIRLINE Online is used by universities and senior high schools globally to further the learning of business, economics and aviation management students. Use of the simulation is both fun and interesting for management students and professional pilots. The simulation takes the class beyond just listening to a lecture. Students actually discuss issues in class, they go to work on this online simulation, and apply the information they learn. They learn and experience at the same time.
Training
The AIRLINE Online application is marketed by Simulate which has also established corporate marketing agreements to enable 3rd parties to conduct in house training for business and aviation related organisations. Corporate training ranges from economics and management staff and junior cadets, through to cultural training of airline staff or new intakes.
