Ainkawa Social Youth Club

Ainkawa Social Youth Club is one of the renowned civil society organization over all Iraq practicing and concerning of youth affairs, the name is not a good identification for the performance as, although the name is a social club it should only help youth to socialize with each other and provide social events,. Actually this organization is working on improving youth carriers, education, culture reactivation, capacity building, and leadership building between youth of our lovely place Ankawa.
Let's start over from the Club Admin structure which can be classified and split into 3 authorities.
* General Assembly : which consist of all the participating members to our club in an estimated 3000 member rate.
* Representative Board: consist of 45 members elected directly by the General Assembly to be as legislating authority for the club. ( an idea similar to that of country parliament)
* Admin Board: Consist of 11 acting members and 4 waiting (on hold), elected by the representative board this is an executive authority, which will run the daily affairs of the club.
* Specialist committees: which will perform all the club activities in liaison with the admin board ( estimated no. of people performing these activities varies from season to another but the max was 120 and the minimum 70 members from the club members)
The capacity building is mainly reached by involving members in the club management and encouraging them to participate in the club activities and to be active members all the admin body of the club, this make our members more contacted to all the processes, concerns, obstacles, …., etc.. of the youth and admin field. Make them socialize in a new manner not only be keep in touch with their friend but also to improve themselves even to work with a friendly environment. Besides this will improve the leader ship feature of the individual by acting as leaders in their positions especially for the admin, and representative boards, in which they'll be fully responsible for the concerns of 3000 members which is quite good number for the person to lead and feel as a real leader.

The old way of spreading knowledge is fading away in the crowd qui of the new technology so the club has establish a creative means to provide the necessary knowledge for its member like some of informational contests between many types and slices of the youth (classified by carrier, college students, and others) this includes General Information Contests like what so call "Methmar al-maarefa" which can translated as the track of knowledge and several other fields religious, scientific, cultural and, so many other fields.
As of the Sports we have a hall for gyme and fitness which holds the young trainees and some of the professional bodybuilding athletics,also we have a hall for the soft sports like ping pong, beliardo, and football tables. That’s for fun, and we have so far 5 championship on the soccer, 3 of the Traditional sports in Ankawa, many others champion ships in volleyball, basketball, handball and chess.

We had several training courses in computers, music, mechanic, languages 'like English, French, Assyrian, Kurdish, Arabic and Dutch', handy jobs and, buesness. But in this field we have coordinated with other organization from time to time to help us as we seek always for more help for the donors and other concerning organization which can provide any help in this regards.

We have also so many humanitarian activities starting from the blood donating program and continuing to the humanitarian aid for the IDP's in Ankawa this program has a spontaneous funding by our own members no other sources are available; the program is collecting the food, home apparatuses, clothing and cash from the members willing to donate and later on distributing all the donations to the needy IDP's as per several surveys conducted by the Humanitarian Affair Committee. Also, to provide the support campaign whenever required especially for the shorthanded people submitting to a very expensive surgery or need therapy out boarder. And several other humanitarian cases which needs help and the help could be provided by our side.

For socializing we provide a very good secured culture for all the youth to socialize with each other for both male and female, as there is a frequent attendance for more than 1000 people at a time to our club in the Thursday and Sundays. Also we are arranging parties, festivals, celebrating, and participating on other social events held by other.
