Africa Mining Hall of Fame

The Africa Mining Hall of Fame (AMHOF) was conceptualized in 2013 to recognize, honour and celebrate accomplishments in the mining industry of the African continent.
Establishment
Headquartered in Ghana and registered under the company's Act, Act 992 of 2019, the Africa Mining Hall of Fame (AMHOF) was formally established in 2021.
The administration of AMHOF is entrusted currently to a 21/54 - member International Board of Trustees from the 21 countries in Africa who voir dires nominations received.
The AMHOF Museum
The School of Mines and Built Environment at the Kenyasi Campus of the University of Energy and Natural Resources, is to host the Mining Hall of Fame Museum when completed.
The museum is to preserve and display three major significant specimens for posterity:
*plaques and portraits of inductees with descriptions of their achievements,
*different minerals from different parts of the African continent, and
*the Africa Mining Hall of Fame Tome, The AMHOF Tome, which is a magazine publication of the inductees that is updated after every Induction Ceremony.
Nomination guidelines
The candidate or the Business Entity must have demonstrated outstanding lifetime achievements within the mineral development value space in one or more categories of achievements, that benefited an African Community. Nominations of individuals may be made by individuals, firms or organizations across the African continent.
