Aderis Pharmaceuticals

Aderis Pharmaceuticals is a privately held pharmaceutical company based in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. It was founded in 1994 to develop and commercialize pharmaceuticals. It is best known for the development of Rotigotine, a dopamine agonist, formulated as a daily dermal patch for the treatment of Parkinson's disease.
As of 2001, the company did not have a commercial product and was surviving on licensing fees and milestone payments, losing more than $10 million that year. In 2003, the company made an initial public offering, but subsequently withdrew this offering due to a declining market for such offerings at the time.
