AdBhai (short for Advertisement Bhai, Bhai being Hindi for brother) is an online community for posting online classified advertisements that leverages existing social networks. It was launched in September 2008. The site currently provides service for 20 Indian cities. In support of its social networking capabilities, the site was one of the first Indian websites to incorporate Google Friend Connect. In December 2008, AdBhai launched an Opensocial gadget AdBhai Social classifieds for the Orkut social networking website. AdBhai also provides free classifieds to the student community with the Classifieds for Campus campaign, wherein students can voluntarily register their campus to take advantage of the free classified platform provided by AdBhai for their campus. Some campuses already covered by this campaign are IIT Mumbai and BITS Pilani Goa Campus. Campuses can have specially designed product and service categories to suit their needs. |
