Action News at 4 is a local news program that airs on WPVI-TV 6abc the ABC affiliate in Philadelphia. The newscast launched on May 26, 2011, the day after the airing of The news team for this broadcast are anchors Brian Taff and Shirleen Allicot, features anchor Alicia Vitarelli, meteorologist Adam Joseph, and reporter Sarah Bloomquist. For her on-scene reports Bloomquist utilizes Action News' newest news gathering vehicle, an equipped 2011 Buick LaCrosse designated Mobile 6, for her reporting. This brings the total amount of "Action News" broadcasts to 40 hours and 5 minutes a week. Newscast segments The newscast features several segments that make the broadcast different from other traditional newscasts. The broadcast makes it one in which the viewer can interact with the anchors, which viewers cannot do with the other broadcasts of Action News. * Ask Action News - As mentioned above, viewers are invited to go to the newscast's official website and click on the link on the page so that they can provide commentary about stories featured in the broadcast. This segment is similar to the "People Scene" segment on Action News newscasts outside the 4pm hour. * Headline Blitz - Also anchored by Alicia Vitarelli, this segment is divided into 2 parts: World News at 4:15, and Local News at 4:45. Each segment gives a quick summary of headlines of the day. * Business Report - A summary of the day's current business and technology news, done as a live segment anchored by a Bloomberg anchor. * Facebook Flash - This segment shows viewers' Facebook profiles during the newscast with the aforementioned segment added to the viewers' profile wall.
