ACT Australian Cleantech Index

The ACT Australian Cleantech Index is a market capitalisation weighted stock market index that tracks the performance of Australian listed cleantech companies. It is the first index of its kind to be published in Australia and highlights the strong growth of this emerging sector. The Index was developed is maintained by , the founder of ACT Consulting. The Index tracks the performance of 62 listed companies from June 2006 and compares them to both the performance of the S&P/ASX200 and the S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries. The ACT Australian Cleantech Index has outperformed these benchmark indices both through the bull run to June 2007 and in the bear market since. The ACT Australian Cleantech Index shows the same stock performance as has been demonstrated by other global cleantech indices such as the Cleantech Index. |
