A Warm Welcome

The Hobbit: A Warm Welcome (Chapter 10), SUMMARY
----
As the dwarves were sailing down towards the lake, Bilbo saw the Mountain, the Lonely Mountain! Not far from the beginning of the Forest River was the strange town Bilbo had heard the elves speak of in the king’s cellar. It was a town of men who still dared to live there in spite of the dragon-mountain. The raft was drawn out of the current and towed into the little bay of Lake-town. Bilbo cut loose a barrel, opened it and found a grumbling Thorin inside, who helped him get the others out. They set off for Lake-town and Thorin introduced himself to the Master of the town. The people gave Thorin and company a large house and they were given good clothes. After a fortnight they left for the mountain by the lake.
