A Certain Point of View

A Certain Point of View is a 2009 American independent film from Premonition Pictures, directed by Derek Klein. It stars Betsy Trevarthen, Lance Barke, Mirek Purpura, Elisha Reichert, Jessica DiLiberto, Prashanth Venkataramanujam, and Daniel Papas. It will be released March 30, 2010 on DVD.
Plot
While much of the plot for A Certain Point Of View is being carefully guarded, it is known that the film will focus on the idea of individual perspective and how events hold different meanings depending on “a certain point of view.” As the character the audience follows changes, previously hidden motivations will be revealed and the audience will discover how perspective determines how we live our lives.
The film will be composed of 5 separate parts, or "stories", that will collectively tell the story a week long period in an ambiguous Midwestern town. Each of the five stories has a title based on the individual's perspectives that it is focusing on: The Lady & The Bartender, The Bartender & The Cocktail Gal, The Comedian & The Actor, The Cocktail Gal & The Producer, and The Fiancee & The Street Rat.
Production
A Certain Point of View had originally been planned to be a direct follow-up to Premonition Pictures college based drama series '. However due to the success and Producers Klein & Morin's feelings that the series had ended on a "high note", they decided to take the film in a completely different direction. That being said, many of the creative personal behind One Fine Day! have signed on with the new film.
As with is television predecessor, A Certain Point of View will be a collaborative effort between students from all over the Big Ten college division, with key personal from the University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, and the University of Iowa.
