Prior to launching 666BET.com had already signed former QPR and Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp along with Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels star Vas Blackwood as brand ambassadors. The pair have gone on to appear in a number of TV ads for the company. Including one aired at half-time on ITV during the World Cup semi-finals. The company then went onto sponsor two high-profile Saturday races, the Superlative Stakes and the Bunbury Cup, at Newmarket’s July meeting, both shown live on Channel 4.
In August 2014 666BET became official shirt sponsor of League One Football team Leyton Orient F.C for the 2014/15 season. It also became betting partner to Premier League football teams West Bromwich Albion and Leicester City.
In November it continued its football sponsorship roll-out by backing six non-league English clubs scheduled to compete in the first round of the FA Cup. These clubs were Basingstoke Town, Gosport Borough and Weston Super Mare in the Conference South, AFC Fylde in the Conference North, East Thurrock United in the Isthmian Premier and Norton United in the Northern Premier League Division South. As part of the agreement four of the six teams wore 666BET logos on the front of their shirts whilst the other two- Basingstoke and Weston Super Mare- had logos on their shorts.
666BET.com’s sponsorship portfolio has also extended to other sports including boxing and darts.
The company has backed a number of high-profile fights including Olympic Gold medallist Anthony Joshua’s successful WBC International Heavyweight title fight against Russia’s Denis Bakhtov in October 2014. In November 2014 they were lead sponsor for the Cruiserweight rematch between Nathan Cleverly and Tony Bellew at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, which sold out within 48-hours.
It also became the official betting partner of the Grand Slam of Darts and The Players Championship after securing deals with the Professional Darts Corporation in 2014.
Operations
666BET manages its operations out of its London HQ close to Angel tube station and employs over 40 staff.
It is regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (Non-UK customers) and uses data security procedures that exceed e-gaming standards.
666BET’s software has successfully been tested to Gambling Supervision Commission requirements by Gaming Laboratories International, an internationally recognised testing facility offering a full range of testing and consulting services to the iGaming and Land based markets.
