Metroplay

MetroPlay LTDis a UK based gaming company with its headquarters in London.
History
The online casino was formerly owned by the DMG Media Group as ME Gaming and was re-launched in 2013 under the new name Metro Play. Following the re-launch, Metro Play concentrated its efforts on targeting commuters across the UK as a mobile-focused operator, with false front covers on the Metro UK newspapers - also owned by DMG Media. It then bolstered its product offering by launching a suite of casino products from Swedish developer Play’n Go.
In March 2014 Metro Play launched its first native mobile casino app on iOS devices.
Takeover
The DMG Media-owned start-up was sold to online betting company 666Bet in September 2014 for an undisclosed fee. 666BET also took ownership of Metro Play Casino’s Alderney gambling licence.
The deal was 666bet’s first major acquisition since its launch in June 2014.
Operations
MetroPlay is solely online and offers its customers a range of casino games including slots, roulette, card games and a live casino provided by evolution gaming and NetEnt. It is licensed by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. It is based in North London sharing offices with its partner brand 666BET.
