43 Million Secrets

43 Million Secrets is a documentary about domestic violence in the United States being made by the Makers of Memories Foundation.
The purpose of the film is to:
* Build awareness of what "UNICEF calls the most pervasive human rights challenges of our time," affecting 40 million adults and 3 million children world wide.
* Raise funds to help domestic violence victims.
* Create a grassroots network as a catalyst for public policy changes.
The documentary was to be released simultaneously in October, 2011 with the first Congressional Hearing on The Impact of Domestic Violence on Children in Washington, D.C. The purpose of the Congressional Hearing is to educate Congress members of the ways in which domestic violence affects children's development and adulthood from an emotional, social, physical, and cognitive perspectives and how the cycle of violence can be broken.
